  • 1 cup all purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup shortening
  • 1 egg beaten
  • 2 tablespoons cold water

Directions

    Mix flour and salt; cut in shortening until pieces are size of small peas.

    Combine egg and cold water; sprinkle over flour mixture, 1 tablespoon at at time. Gently toss with fork. Repeat until all is moistened. Form into a ball. Roll on a lightly floured surface to 1 10x9-3/4 inch rectangle. Cut into thirteen 10x3/4-inch strips.
