- 1/4 lb. chopped almonds, crushed is best
- 2 egg yolks
- 1/2 lb. each: sugar, butter and flour
- 1 lb. apricot jam
Directions

1Mix together the almonds and sugar.

2Blend in butter and flour.

3Mix well.

4Add egg yolks.

5Roll dough to 1/2-inch thick. Save half for cross bars.

6Spread on cookie sheet, then spread 1 pound apricot jam over dough.

7Make cross bars by rolling out dough and cutting into strips.

8Crisscross strips on top of jam to give lattice effect.

9Bake in a 350°

10oven about 30 minutes, or until light brown.
