Ingredients

  • 1 (17 oz.) can refried beans
  • 1 (4 oz.) can chopped chilies
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1/2 c. black olives, chopped
  • 1 Tbsp. chili powder
  • 1 avocado
  • 1 Tbsp. lemon juice
  • 1 garlic clove, crushed
  • hot sauce to taste
  • 1 c. sour cream
  • 1 c. grated sharp Cheddar cheese

Directions

    In 1-quart heatproof casserole, combine refried beans, chilies, onion, olives and chili powder.

    Top with an avocado that has been mashed with the lemon juice, crushed garlic clove and hot sauce. Over that, spread the sour cream and sprinkle with the Cheddar cheese.

    Bake at 350° for 20 minutes, until hot and bubbly.

    Serve with chips.
