  • 1 head iceberg lettuce, broken in pieces
  • 1 1/2 c. diced celery
  • 1 c. chopped green pepper
  • 1 1/2 c. chopped onion
  • 1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen peas, cooked, drained and chilled
  • 6 oz. shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 1 pt. plus 1 Tbsp. Hellmann's mayonnaise
  • 1 can bacon bits

Directions

    Layer in a 9 x 13-inch dish as listed.

    Use the mayonnaise to seal in the vegetables.

    Cover and chill 8 hours.

    Add the bacon bits after chilling.
