Layered Salad

  • 1 small head lettuce, torn into pieces
  • 2 ribs celery, chopped
  • 1 small onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen peas, cooked
  • 1 can water chestnuts, drained and sliced
  • 1 1/2 c. mayonnaise or salad dressing
  • 3 Tbsp. Parmesan cheese
  • 8 slices cooked bacon, crumbled

Directions

    In a wide mouthed clear salad bowl, spread lettuce leaves evenly.

    Layer with celery, onions, cooked peas and water chestnuts.

    Spread mayonnaise evenly over top of salad.

    Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and bacon.

    Cover and refrigerate for at least 3 hours.

    Serves 6 to 8.
