- Makes 48, 1-1/2 -inch cookies
- 13 ounces (3 sticks plus 2 tablespoons) unsalted butter, room temperature
- 1-2/3 cups granulated sugar
- 2 eggs
- 3-3/4 cups all-purpose flour (spoon the flour into your measuring cup, don't scoop it up)
- 1-1/2 cups finely chopped, toasted hazelnuts or almonds
- 2 cups berry, peach or apricot preserves
