  • 1-1/2 cups (350 ml) flour
  • 1/2 tsp (2 ml) salt
  • 1/2 cup (125 ml) shortening
  • 1/3 cup (80 ml) water
  • 2/3 cup (150 ml) sugar
  • 1 tsp (5 ml) cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp (2 ml) nutmeg
  • 3/4 cup (175 ml) apple (grated)
  • 3/4 cup (175 ml) lemon (grated)
  • 2 tbsp (30 ml) flour

Directions

    Preheat oven to 425 degrees (225 C.).

    Combine flour, salt and shortening.

    Add water.

    Stir as little as possible.

    Divide in two and roll each half out separatly.

    Place one half in pie tin.

    Combine apple, lemon, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg and flour.

    Mix well.

    Pour onto crust.

    Cover pie with other half of dough.

    Press down edges and make air holes with fork.

    Cook at 425 degrees (225 C.) for 20 minutes.
