- 1/2 c. butter
- 1 c. packed brown sugar
- 1 1/2 c. flour
- 1 Tbsp. baking powder
- 1/2 Tbsp. ground cinnamon
- 1 Tbsp. ground nutmeg
- 1 c. uncooked oats
- 1 pkg. cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. lemon juice
- 2 Tbsp. grated lemon peel
Directions

1Heat oven to 350°.

2Beat butter and brown sugar until fluffy. Add flour, baking powder, cinnamon and nutmeg.

3Mix well.

4Stir in oats.

5Save 1 1/2 cups of oat mixture.

6Press remaining oat mixture on bottom of greased 13 x 9-inch pan.

7Beat cream cheese, sugar, juice and peel at medium speed until well blended.

8Pour over oat mixture in pan.

9Sprinkle with rest of oat mixture.

10Bake 30 to 35 minutes or until lemon layer is set and bars pull away from pan.
