- 1/3 c. butter
- 1/3 c. light brown sugar
- zest of 1 lemon
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 2 extra large eggs or 3
- 1 1/2 c. flour
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 c. milk
- 1/4 c. lemon juice
- 1/4 c. sugar
Directions

1Combine in large bowl the first 5 ingredients, adding eggs one at a time, beating well after each.

2Set aside.

3Whisk together dry ingredients.

4Add to creamed mixture alternating with milk. When all is added, add canola seeds and nuts.

5Spoon into sprayed and floured bread pan.

6Bake at 350° for 50 minutes or until done. Simmer together 5 minutes and pour over warm

7bread pierced with fork the lemon juice and sugar.
