  • 1 envelope Knox unflavored gelatine
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 c. boiling water
  • 1 qt. lemon custard ice cream
  • 1/3 c. lemon juice
  • 3 tsp. grated lemon peel
  • 2 egg whites

Directions

    In medium bowl, mix unflavored gelatine with sugar.

    Add boiling water; stir until gelatine is completely dissolved.

    Stir in lemon juice and 1 teaspoon lemon peel.

    Chill, stirring occasionally, until mixture is consistency of unbeaten egg whites. Add egg whites to gelatine mixture.

    With electric mixer, beat at high speed until light and fluffy, about 10 minutes.

    Chill.
