Ingredients
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup flour
- 2 tablespoons melted butter or 2 tablespoons margarine
- 1 teaspoon grated lemon, rind of
- 1/3 cup lemon juice
- 3 egg yolks, slightly beaten
- 3 egg whites, beaten to stiff peaks
- 1 1/2 cups milk
Directions

1Preheat oven to 350°F.

2Grease eight (6 ounce) custard cups; set aside.

3In a large bowl, beat sugar, flour and butter/margarine.

4Add lemon peel and lemon juice; set aside.

5In a small bowl, mix egg yolks and milk.

6Add to cream mixture and stir.

7Fold in egg whites.

8Pour into cups.

9Place in baking pan and add one inch of water to pan.

10Bake for 35 to 40 minutes or until golden.
