  • 2 c. rolled oats
  • 4 tsp. shortening
  • 1 c. dark molasses
  • 4 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. lukewarm water
  • 1/2 c. wheat germ (optional)
  • 10 to 12 c. flour
  • 2 pkg. yeast or 2 cakes
