  • 1/2 c. butter or margarine
  • 1 c. all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 c. chopped walnuts or pecans, divided
  • 1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
  • 1 c. sifted powdered sugar
  • 3 c. whipped topping, thawed and divided
  • 2 (3 3/4 oz.) pkg. lemon instant pudding and pie filling mix
  • 3 c. milk

    Cut butter into flour until resembles coarse meal.

    Stir 1/2 cup nuts into flour mixture.

    Press pecan mixture into a 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan.

    Bake at 350° for 15 minutes.

    Combine cream cheese and powdered sugar; beat until fluffy.

    Fold 1 cup whipped topping

    into cream cheese mixture.

    Spread over crust. Chill. Combine pudding mix and milk at low speed.
