- 2 1/2 c. flour
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 3 tsp. ginger
- 3/4 c. softened butter
- 1 egg
- 1 c. firmly packed brown sugar
- 1/4 c. molasses
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 1 Tbsp. grated lemon rind
- cinnamon sugar
Directions

1Sift first 5 ingredients together in a bowl; set aside.

2Add next 3 ingredients and beat until fluffy.

3Add next 3 ingredients to butter mixture and beat well.

4Stir in dry ingredients, 1/2 at a time.

5Mix well.

6Roll in balls and roll in cinnamon and sugar. Place on cookie sheet 2 inches apart.

7Bake 10 minutes at 400°. Do not overbake.

8Makes 3 to 3 1/2 dozen cookies.
