- 1 (8-inch) baked pie shell
- 2 eggs, separated
- 1 (14 oz.) can Eagle condensed milk
- 1/2 c. lemon juice
- 1 tsp. ground lemon rind
- 1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
- 1/4 c. sugar
Directions

1Preheat oven to 350°.

2In medium bowl beat egg yolks.

3Stir in condensed milk, lemon juice and rind shell.

4In small bowl beat egg whites with cream of tartar until foamy.

5Gradually add sugar, beating until stiff but not dry.

6Spread meringue on top of pie, sealing the edges carefully of the shell.

7Bake 10 to 15 minutes or until meringue is golden brown.

8Cool before serving. Refrigerate leftovers.
