  • 4 c. flour, divided
  • 1 lb. butter, softened
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 6 eggs
  • 1 small bottle red cherries, cut up
  • 1 1/2 c. chopped pecans
  • 1 oz. pure lemon extract

Directions

    Dredge pecans and cherries in a cup of flour.

    In a mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar until fluffy.

    Add eggs, one at a time, beating well.

    Add remaining flour and lemon extract, beating until smooth.

    Fold in cherries and nuts.

    Pour into a well-greased and floured tube pan and bake at 250° for one hour. Test to see if done.
