  • 3 Tbsp. water
  • 1 c. sugar, divided
  • 1 baked pie shell

    Add lemon juice and peel, water and 1/2 cup sugar gradually. Cook over

    hot water until thick, stirring constantly.

    whites until stiff.

    Beat in remaining 1/2 cup sugar and beat until glossy.

    Fold 1/2 egg whites into egg mixture.
