- 1 (9-inch) baked pie shell
- 1 1/4 c. sugar
- 6 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 1/8 tsp. salt
- 1 1/2 c. water
- 3 egg yolks, slightly beaten
- 1/3 c. lemon juice
Directions

1Mix thoroughly the sugar, cornstarch and salt. Stir in water and place over direct heat.

2Add egg yolks and stir until thick. Cool 3 minutes and add lemon juice.

3Can cover with meringue and bake at 325°

4until slightly brown, 18 to 20 minutes.
