  • 1 c. sugar
  • 4 Tbsp. plain flour, sifted
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 3 egg yolks
  • 2 c. milk
  • 1 Tbsp. margarine
  • 2 lemons, juice and lightly grated rind
  • 3 egg whites, stiffly whipped
  • 6 Tbsp. sugar

    Mix sugar, flour and salt thoroughly.

    Add milk slowly. Cook in top

    of double boiler over hot water until thick.

    Put in lemon juice

    and rind.
