Lemon Pilaf With Raisins and Almonds

  • 1 cup long-grain rice
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 6 cardamom pods
  • 3 cloves
  • 1 lemon, zest of
  • 1 12 cups chicken stock
  • 12 cup raisins
  • 12 cup slivered almonds

    Heat oil in a pan.

    Sautee onion, garlic, cinnamon, cardamom and cloves.

    Add in raw rice and zest of a lemon.

    Season to taste.

    Put into rice cooker along with stock.

    Let cook.

    5 mins before its done, add raisins in and continue cooking for 5 minute.

    Serve sprinkled with almonds.
