- 1/2 c. shortening
- 2 1/2 c. sugar
- 5 eggs
- 3 c. plain flour
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 c. milk
- 2 tsp. lemon extract
Directions

1Cream margarine and shortening with sugar.

2Add eggs, one at a time.

3Sift flour, baking powder and salt.

4Add to creamed mixture alternately with milk.

6Bake in a large tube pan at 350° for 55 to 60 minutes.
