  • 2 sticks margarine
  • 1/2 c. shortening
  • 2 1/2 c. sugar
  • 5 eggs
  • 3 c. plain flour
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. milk
  • 2 tsp. lemon extract

Directions

    Cream margarine and shortening with sugar.

    Add eggs, one at a time.

    Sift flour, baking powder and salt.

    Add to creamed mixture alternately with milk.

    Add extract.

    Bake in a large tube pan at 350° for 55 to 60 minutes.
