- 3 c. sugar
- 5 eggs
- 3 c. cake flour
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1 c. sweet milk
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 tsp. lemon
Directions

1Cream butter and Crisco with sugar.

2Add eggs, one at a time; beat after each.

3Sift cake flour and baking powder.

4Add dry ingredients, alternating with milk.

5Add vanilla before last flour.

6Bake in greased and floured tube pan for 1 hour and 15 minutes at 325°.
