- 3 c. all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1 c. butter
- 1/2 c. Crisco
- 3 c. sugar
- 6 eggs
- 1 1/4 tsp. lemon extract
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 c. milk
Directions

1Sift flour and powder together in a bowl, set aside.

2Cream butter and shortening.

3Gradually add sugar while beating.

4Beat until light.

5Add eggs, one at a time, beating well.

6Beat until light and fluffy.

7Add vanilla and lemon, mix well.

8Add dry ingredients, alternately with milk.

9Mix well.

10Spoon batter into a greased tube pan.

11Place in cold oven.

12Turn on oven and bake at 350° for 1 1/2 hours, or until done.
