  • 1 cup All-purpose Flour
  • 2 teaspoons Baking Powder
  • 1/2 cups White Sugar
  • 1 whole Lemon, Zested
  • 4 Tablespoons Butter, Melted
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 1/2 cups Non-fat Milk
  • 1/2 cups White Chocolate Chips
  • 1/2 cups Brown Sugar
  • 1/2 cups Lemon Juice (for 1/2 Cup You'll Need About 2 Lemons)
  • 1-1/2 cup Boiling Water

Directions

    Preheat oven to 350°F.

    Combine flour, baking powder, sugar, and lemon zest in a medium bowl. Set aside.

    In another bowl, whisk together butter, vanilla, and milk. Add this into the dry ingredients and mix well. Spread batter into a 9x9 pan prepared with nonstick cooking spray.

    Sprinkle chocolate chips over the batter, then sprinkle brown sugar on top of that.

    Combine lemon juice with boiled water and pour over the top of the cake.

    Bake for 30 minutes or until top of cake is golden brown.

    This dessert loves to be served warm. Using a large spoon, serve a generous portion of cake. There will be sauce hidden underneath, waiting to be drizzled on top!
