Lemon Pudding

Ingredients

  • 2 c. bread (sometimes I use more)
  • 1 pt. milk
  • 1 Tbsp. butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 lemon
  • 1 c. sugar

Directions

    Heat milk. Add bread crumbs.

    When cool, add beaten egg yolks and 1/2 cup sugar.

    Bake about 1/2 hour at 375°.

    Beat egg whites until stiff and add 1/2 cup sugar and the juice of 1 lemon.

    Put meringue on top and brown.
