- 1/2 c. Crisco
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
- 1 Tbsp. lemon juice
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 c. lemon drops, crushed
Directions

1Preheat oven to 350°.

2Cream Crisco and sugar; add egg, lemon juice (rind of lemon, if desired).

3Combine flour with baking powder, salt and crushed lemon drops.

4Add to creamed mixture. Mix on high speed with mixer until well-blended.

5Drop by teaspoons onto greased cookie sheet.

6Bake 10 minutes; remove from sheets and cool.

7Frost if desired.

8Makes 3 dozen cookies.
