- 1 1/4 c. crushed cornflakes
- 2 tsp. lemon pepper seasoning
- 1/4 to 1/2 tsp. dried dill weed
- 1/8 tsp. garlic powder
- 1/4 c. buttermilk
- 1 egg
- 1 lb. fish fillets, 1/2 inch thick, cut into serving size pieces
- Crisco oil for frying
Directions

1Mix cornflake crumbs, lemon pepper seasoning, dill weed and garlic powder in shallow dish or on sheet of waxed paper.

2Set aside.

3Blend buttermilk and egg in medium bowl.

4Dip fish in buttermilk mixture, then in cornflake mixture to coat.

5Heat 1/8 inch Crisco oil in large skillet.

6Add fish, fry 5 to 8 minutes or until flakes easily with fork.

7Drain on paper towels.

8Yields 4 servings.
