Ingredients
- 4 slices bacon, cut up
- 1 c. chopped onion
- 1 c. sliced carrots
- 1 c. chopped celery
- 1 (16 oz.) pkg. lentils, rinsed and drained
- 3 qt. water
- 2 Tbsp. vinegar
- 6 beef bouillon cubes
- 2 tsp. dry mustard
- 1/2 lb. skinless franks, sliced
- 1/4 c. ketchup
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
Directions

1In 6-quart pot, cook bacon until partially done.

2Add onion, carrots and celery.

3Saute, stirring occasionally, for 5 minutes or until onion is limp.

4Add lentils, water, vinegar, bouillon cubes and mustard.

5Bring to boil; cover and reduce heat.

6Simmer 1 hour.

7Add franks, ketchup, salt and pepper; simmer 15 minutes. Voila!!!
