- 1 cup lentils
- 1 cup brown rice
- 4 cups water
- 1 onion
- 2 garlic cloves
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 14 teaspoon pepper
Directions

1Saute onions and garlic in butter pretty low so that garlic doesnt get bitter.

2Add water and the lentils and rice.

3Cover and cook for about 1 hour.

4It is good alone but adding more butter before eating makes it extra creamy!

5dont forget to remove the bay leaf and salt and pepper to taste (you dont have to go by the measurements on those!
