Ingredients
- 1 1/2 c. lukewarm water
- 1 pkg. yeast
- 10 c. plain flour
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 1 Tbsp. salt
- 1 c. shortening
- 1 1/2 c. milk
Directions

1Mix water and yeast and set aside.

2Cut flour, sugar, salt and shortening together with a pastry cutter.

3Add milk and yeast mixture and mix well.

4Place a cover (not airtight) over the dough.

5Let rise until double in bulk (2 to 3 hours).

6Mix dough down and knead.

7Shape dough into 3 loaves or into rolls; place in greased pans.

8Let double in bulk again.

9Bake in a preheated 400° oven for about 30 minutes or until done.

10The dough will keep in the refrigerator for a week.
