- 2 pkg. dry yeast
- 3 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 c. warm water
- 3 c. self-rising flour
- 4 Tbsp. Crisco
Directions

1Measure warm water into a 2-cup measuring cup.

2Add yeast and sugar; dissolve completely.

3In a large mixing bowl, sift flour. Add shortening to flour and gradually add yeast mixture until dough is smooth and not sticky.

4Let rise 1 hour.

5Make rolls size desired; put in greased pan.

6Let rise at least 1 hour.

7Bake at 400° in preheated oven for 10 to 15 minutes.
