- 3 c. (1%) milk
- 2/3 c. sugar
- 1 egg
- 5 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 6 Tbsp. unsweetened cocoa
- salt
- vanilla
- 2 c. nondairy whipped topping
- 1 cooked pie crust shell
Directions

1Beat milk and egg together.

2Combine 2/3 cup sugar, the cornstarch, cocoa and a pinch of salt. Gradually stir in milk mixture.

3Cook over medium-low heat, stirring frequently until mixture comes to a boil, 10 to 12 minutes.

4Boil, stirring 1 minute. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla.

5Pour into cooled pie crust.

6Refrigerate.

7Spoon whipped topping over pie. Refrigerate.
