- 1 c. powdered sugar
- 1 c. soft butter or margarine
- 1 tsp. vinegar
- 2 1/4 c. flour
- 1 1/2 to 2 tsp. ground ginger
- 3/4 tsp. baking soda
- 1/4 tsp. salt
Directions

1Heat oven to 400°.

2Mix sugar, margarine and vinegar.

3Stir in rest of ingredients.

4(If dough is too dry, work in milk or cream, 1 teaspoon at a time.)

5Roll dough 1/8-inch thick on floured surface.

6Cut with cookie cutters; place on ungreased cookie sheets.

7Bake until light brown, about 6 to 8 minutes.

8Cool slightly; carefully remove from cookie sheet.

9Decorate with frosting.
