- 4 cups thinly sliced peeled cooking apples (5 medium, granny smith are good)
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
- Topping
- 1/2 cup quick-cooking rolled oats
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 2 tablespoons margarine or 2 tablespoons butter
Directions

1Heat oven to 350.

2In a 1-qt. casserole, combine apples with 1/3 cup sugar and 1/4 tsp. cinnamon.

3In a small bowl, combine all topping ingredients except margarine.

4Cut in margarine until crumbly.

5Sprinkle evenly over apples.

6Bake covered at 350 for 30 minutes.

7Uncover and bake 15-20 minutes or until apples are tender.

8Serve warm or cold.
