Lima Bean Soup

  • 2 to 3 lb. ham ends
  • 1 onion
  • 2 whole potatoes
  • 1 c. lima beans
  • 3/4 c. celery
  • 2 carrots
  • 2 Tbsp. catsup
  • salt and pepper

Directions

    Place ham ends, peeled carrots, onion and potatoes (whole) in a pot and boil for 1 hour.

    Remove ham.

    Rub vegetables through a strainer.

    Cut up ham and return all ingredients to stock.

    Add lima beans which have been soaked in water for 12 hours.

    Add celery; cook 1 hour.

    Add catsup, salt and pepper.
