- 2 (2 lb.) frying chickens
- 1/2 c. buttermilk
- 1 medium onion, minced
- 1 c. flour
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 2 tsp. paprika
- 1/4 tsp. ground thyme
- 1/4 c. butter or margarine
Directions

1Cut chicken into serving pieces.

2Combine buttermilk and onion.

3Sift flour with salt, pepper, paprika and thyme.

4Melt the butter in a baking pan.

5Brush each piece of chicken with the buttermilk mixture, then sprinkle with the seasoned mix.

6Place pieces skin down in the baking pan.

7Bake in oven at 375° for 30 minutes.

8Turn each piece and bake 30 minutes longer or until very tender.
