- 4 chicken breast halves
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 medium carrot
- 1 small onion
- 5 mushrooms
- 4 c. water
- 1/2 c. June peas
- 2 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 2 Tbsp. water
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- pastry for double crust (9-inch) pie
Directions

1Cook chicken in 4 cups water and 1/2 teaspoon salt.

2Bring to a boil and simmer 45 minutes.

3Drain 2 cups of broth.

4Chop chicken into small pieces.

5Cook carrot and onion in broth; add mushrooms and peas.

6Dissolve cornstarch in 2 tablespoons water. Add to vegetables, stirring constantly.

7Cook over medium heat; stir until bubbly.

8Add chicken, 1/4 teaspoon salt and pepper.
