Liver Burgers

  • 1 lb. liver
  • 1 lb. bacon
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/8 tsp. pepper
  • 1/4 c. flour
  • 1 or 2 eggs
  • 1 large or 2 small onions
  • any kind of seasonings you want

Directions

    In meat grinder, alternate liver, onions and bacon into bowl. Add to liver mixture salt, pepper, egg, flour and any seasonings you wish to add.

    Mix together thoroughly.

    In frying pan, put just enough shortening to wet bottom of pan.

    Burgers will make their own grease (or just a tiny bit).

    (This mixture will be a little runny, but flour and egg will help hold it together; sometimes I add a little extra flour.)
