Ingredients

  • 1 lb. raisins
  • 1/2 c. bourbon
  • 1/2 c. margarine, softened
  • 1/2 c. packed light brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 1/2 c. sifted flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp. soda
  • 1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp. cloves
  • 1 lb. pecan halves
  • 1 lb. candied cherries

Directions

    Combine raisins and bourbon in bowl.

    Let stand for 1 hour. Cream margarine and brown sugar in mixer bowl until light and fluffy.

    Blend in eggs.

    Add dry ingredients; mix well.

    Stir in raisins with liquid, pecans and cherries.

    Drop by teaspoon onto greased cookie sheet.

    Bake at 325° for 15 minutes or until light brown.

    Remove to wire rack to cool.

    Store in airtight container. Yield: 10 dozen.
