  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 c. Crisco
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 c. boiling water
  • 1 pkg. yeast
  • lukewarm water
  • 6 c. plain flour

Directions

    Stir sugar, Crisco, salt, eggs and boiling water together well; let cool.

    Slightly dissolve yeast into lukewarm water; add to first mixture.

    Stir well.

    Add gradually the flour and stir well.

    Put dough in a greased bowl; cover and refrigerate overnight.

    Divide into 2 loaf pans and let rise 3 to 4 hours. Bake in 325° oven for 40 minutes.
