- 1 tablespoon butter melted
- 2 medium onions sliced
- 1/4 teaspoon salt optional
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice fresh
- 2 cloves garlic crushed
- 1/2 teaspoon salt optional
- 1/2 tablespoon seasoning follows
- 2 pounds beef, flank steak (london broil)
Directions

1Melt butter in skillet.

2Cook and stir onions and 1/4 teaspoon salt in the butter until onions are tender.

3Keep warm over low heat.

4Stir together salad oil, lemon juice, garlic, 1/2 teaspoon salt and the pepper; brush on top side of meat.

5Set oven control at broil and/or 550 degrees.

6Broil meat 2 to 3 inches from heat about 5 minutes or until brown.

7Turn meat; brush with oil mixture and broil just until rare, 5 minutes longer.

8Cut meat across grain at a slanted angle into very thin slices; serve with onions.

9NOTE: A can of mushrooms can be added with the onions.

10Brisket meat can be substituted for the flank steak.

121 part garlic powder, 1 part onion powder, 1/2 part ground black pepper.
