- 1 lb. lean sausage
- 6 slices bread, toasted and cut into small pieces
- 1 1/2 c. Butter Buds
- 2 1/2 c. 1% or skim milk
- 12 egg whites or Egg Beaters
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 3/4 lb. fat-free Cheddar cheese
Directions

1In skillet, fry sausage, then drain, running hot water over sausage; let cool.

2Butter bread (one side only) using Butter Buds.

3Grate Cheddar cheese.

4Alternate layers of bread pieces and cheese.

5Beat egg whites or Egg Beaters with salt and milk.

6Pour over mixture and let cool in refrigerator overnight.

7Bake in 350° oven for 40 minutes.
