Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb. ground pork
  • 1/2 lb. ground beef
  • 1/2 c. chopped onion
  • 1/2 lb. raw shrimp, chopped small
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1/2 c. grated carrot
  • 1/4 c. chopped green onion
  • 2 c. shredded Chinese cabbage
  • 4 cloves minced garlic
  • 1 pkg. bean sprouts, chopped
  • 2 Tbsp. soy sauce
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • lumpia wrappers
  • milk
  • vegetable oil

Directions

    Saute pork, beef and onion and drain.

    Add shrimp and cook 1 minute.

    Remove from heat and add eggs, carrot, green onion, cabbage, garlic, sprouts and soy sauce.

    Salt and pepper to taste. Let mixture cool.

    Put heaping tablespoon of filling on each lumpia wrapper.

    Roll up, making small cylinder.

    Tuck ends in and seal with milk.

    Deep fry until brown.

    Serve with sweet and sour sauce for dipping.
