- 1 c. scalded milk
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 pkg. yeast, dissolved in 1/4 c. lukewarm water
- 4 c. flour
- 1 egg
Directions

1Scald milk.

2Add butter, sugar and salt.

3Let stand until lukewarm.

4Add egg, yeast and flour.

5Knead and let rise (about 2 hours).

6Knead and shape into rolls, greasing between rolls in a buttered pan.

7Let rise until double in size, then bake 12 to 15 minutes at 425°.

8Makes 20 large rolls.
