- 1/4 c. sugar
- 1 (12 oz.) can evaporated milk (I use Milnot)
- 1/2 c. skim milk
- 3/4 c. egg substitute
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/8 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. almond extract
Directions

1Sprinkle 1/4 cup sugar in a heavy saucepan; place over medium heat.

2Cook, stirring constantly, until sugar melts and syrup is light golden brown.

3Pour syrup into 6 (6 ounce) custard cups; let cool.

4Combine milks in medium saucepan or heat in microwave until bubbles form.

5Combine egg substitute, 1/4 cup sugar, salt and almond extract; beat well and gradually stir about 1 cup hot milk into egg mixture; add to remaining milk and pour mixture into custard cups.

6Cover with aluminum foil and place cups in a shallow pan of hot water.

7Bake at 325° for about 40 minutes or until done.
