- 1 cup pecans
- walnuts, chopped
- 1 pkg. yellow cake mix
- 4 eggs
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 1/2 cup Barcardi superior dark rum
- 1/2 cup cold water
- 1 pkg. (3-3/4 oz.) vanilla instant pudding
- 1 stick butter
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup Bacardi superior dark rum
Directions

1Cake: Preheat oven to 325F.

2Grease and flour 10-inch tube or 12-cup bundt pan.

3Sprinkle nuts over the bottom of pan.

4Mix the cake mix, instant pudding, eggs, water, dark rum and oil together.

5Pour batter over the nuts and bake for 1 hour.

6Set aside to cool.

7After cake has cooled, invert on a serving plate and prick top.

8Glaze: Melt butter in a saucepan.

9Stir in water and sugar.

10Boil for 5 minutes.

11Stirring constantly.

12Remove from the heat and stir in the rum.

13Drizzle and smooth glaze evenly over the top and sides of the cake.

14Allow cake to absorb the glaze.

15Repeat until glaze is used up.
