- 3 (28 oz.) cans Italian plum tomatoes
- drippings from Meatballs and Sausage (recipes to follow)
- fresh or dry basil
- 1 Tbsp. salt
- 12 oz. can tomato paste
- 2 empty tomato paste cans of water
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
Directions

1Put tomatoes in large saucepan.

2Let it come to a boil, crush it and let it

3boil for about 40 minutes uncovered.

4Add drippings from Meatballs and Sausage

5and the meat. Let boil for another 1/2 hour with

7At same time you add the meat add the basil, about 3

8to 4 leaves or 1 teaspoon dry and salt.

11paste with the water and sugar and let boil another
