- 1 pt. milk
- 3 egg yolks
- 3/4 c. sugar
- pinch of salt
- 1 Tbsp. gelatin
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 c. macaroon crumbs (or vanilla wafer crumbs)
- 3 egg whites
Directions

1Combine milk, egg yolks, sugar and salt.

2Bring to a boil.

3Add gelatin which has been dissolved in a little cold water.

4When mixture is cold, add the 3 beaten egg whites and vanilla.

5Mix in macaroon crumbs (or vanilla wafer crumbs).

6Stir occasionally until mixture begins to thicken.

7Put in mold (dish).

8Serve with whipped cream.

9Serves 8.
