  • 3/4 c. margarine
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/2 c. cold water
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 3/4 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 3 Tbsp. cocoa
  • 1/2 c. hot water

    Cream margarine and sugar; add well beaten eggs.

    Add cold water and vanilla.

    Sift flour, soda, salt and cocoa together; then combine with first ingredients.

    Add hot water.

    Bake at 350° for 30 minutes in a 9 x 13-inch pan that has been lightly greased and floured.
