  • 2 cups dried onions
  • 8 slices bacon
  • 3 (15 ounce) canswhole potatoes, diced
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • pepper
  • 2 (14 ounce) cans cream-style corn
  • 2 cups milk

    Soak dried onions in hot water for 5-10 minutes.

    Drain.

    Cook bacon until crisp.

    Remove and drain on paper towels.

    Reserve drippings.

    Saute onions in bacon drippings until golden, 1-2 minutes.

    Add potatoes, water, salt and pepper.

    Reduce heat; cover and simmer until potatoes are tender but not mushy.
